La rumeur d'Orleans

A strange rumor (the disappearance of young girls from the fitting rooms of Jewish shopkeepers) has spread, without any disappearance, in the city whose name symbolizes measure and balance: Orléans. Edgar Morin and a team of researchers conducted an investigation on site. Why Orléans? Why Jews? Why and how does a rumor spread? What is this myth and what does it tell us about our culture and ourselves? Questions arise: Has a previously latent anti-Semitism been reawakened?
